Ivana is incredibly articulate. Such an excellent interview, with great questions and responses! Ivana's assessment of the value of homemaking is so much more convincing than the feeble lip-service you sometimes hear. This more thoughtful kind of conversation is greatly needed!

Thank you!

Yes, I love how she's able to articulate the value of homemaking while also encouraging the prudent and creative ways to perhaps achieve it.

The advice she has for the young woman considering law school was really insightful. We need more highly educated women talking about these strategic ways of building such a life!

I was thinking about how much Ivana's advice to a young woman entering law school made sense in her field. I would never have thought to say what she did, because my field is so different -- I tend to give a different sort of advice to young women considering entering graduate school in the humanities. But Ivana's advice was spot on! Another reminder that different contexts and different people benefit from different practices.

Couldn't agree more with you both! There are so many different pathways that will allow women to integrate kids and career. Women are planners – so what I say to young women like my little sister is that if you're thinking about motherhood, even if you're unsure right now, consider that when making decisions about your education and what you do for work. :) – Erin
